2nd Year Anniversary Road Trip Part 1~

He looked one way, while I looked the other in both pictures XD Cutest thing ever lol
Yellow! Sorry for the lack of updates on this blog lately 。・゚゚・(>д<)・゚゚・。I was doing good at one point then slowed down because I really have just been focused on my YouTube channel and Facebook fanpage recently but I never leave this blog for too long now do I? I'm sure you guys remember me constantly blabbing about the anniversary road trip I was going to take with Kevin in my last few posts. Welp, here are the pictures and my opinions of the entire experience!
The trip to San Antonio took about 5 hours. We left my place at 10am and got there a little after 3pm. It's definitely the longest time I've been in a car in a long time (the absolute longest was 8 hours going to Corpus Christi with my theater group in high school o.O). Luckily Kevin is the BEST person to go on road trips with because he doesn't talk your head off but when you're awake there's always stuff to talk about with him and he was such a champ. Never once did he stop to take a break or stretch on our way there. I was growing worried when 3 hours elapsed and offered to drive but he kept telling me he was fine.

On our way there we saw lots of country land. Texas really is super flat for those who don't know and our trees are really small lol kinda boring compared to the other states and countries I've visited before but it's home to me so what can you do? We finally arrived at our homey hotel (The Crockett Hotel) which smelled just like my grandfather's house in London! The nostalgia rolled in so quick and luckily I got the name of the fragrance they used for it so I'll be able to smell it here at home!
Our room was nice and affordable. I forgot to take pics of it without all of our crap sprawled all over the place, so sorry for that! Anyway, we got their one king size bedroom and it was pretty big for just the two of us but it felt like our home for those 3 days which was really freaking nice. It was literally across the street from the Alamo and next to the Riverwalk mall. Basically everything worth seeing was in a close walking distance! I took these pics on the second day there since the first day I completely ditched my camera to explore first haha!
Why is he so handsome though? WAIII?! ♥~(‘▽^人)
I really liked this filter on my camera I used :) Reminds me of some k-drama or k-pop love music video...I know you guys may be thinking of one where the lighting looks a bit like this but I just dunno which one :d
Had to camwhore a little bit ^^
The semi-skyline of downtown from the hotel's parking lot view.

This next picture is from inside of the Riverwalk mall. I've gone to better malls locally tbh and the people there weren't really professional or super friendly so that was kind of a bummer but I did still buy something at the Sanrio store! I'll share that in part 2 of this trip's post.
The rest of the pics are from us simply strolling down The Riverwalk together. We saw so many cool and beautiful sights. It felt like we were in Europe somewhere (Italy more specifically!). This next picture was taken immediately in front of the mall. Could you imagine if your local mall looked like this on the outside? I would never wanna leave it.
We rode on these boats later that day and it was aight I guess lol but it was kinda still too hot in the evening and the tour guide we had was so-so.
Yes we got ourselves some noms in an ice cream shop...just not this one lol but I liked the shot of it so I took it!
*drolls*
Waterfalls are so romantic! We had to take a pic in front of it together.
 More of the river.
Somebody tell me you haven't seen a spot like this similar to one in Italy! After this trip, I really want to go there with Kevin one day.
Thankfully a really sweet lady took a picture of us in front of this staircase.
I love this picture so much!
Goodness look at that pose and this was a candid shot! jfdlajfdlajfd GAH IT'S NO FAIR!!
(╯°Д°)╯︵/(.□ . \)
That's all the pics! There was a lot I had to cut out from sharing with you guys to limit how long each part would be since I took so many photos. These are honestly the best of the best so you aren't missing anything major. There was some experiences that weren't so pleasant on our trip there though. I guess since we were an interracial and young couple, we were a major target to a lot of people to harass us. Never have we been stared at so much till this trip...even here in Dallas it's not that fucking bad but I guess San Antonio doesn't see that ever!

Okay so this unkempt asshole who was with his trashy girlfriends asked us for 50 cents, or so I thought that was all he said. We ignored him and kept on walking but I noticed every several minutes after that, Kevin was saying a few things about how much he should have retaliated to that guy and I finally asked him why he was upset about someone asking us for some change. He then tells me that he called him Jackie Chan before he asked us for 50 fucking cents. At this time we were long gone from those douche bags but I was so upset with hearing that I wanted to find them and beat that bastards ass! The other thing was these two dudes were trying to get my attention by calling me fucking Rhianna...Rhianna? She's one sexy ass woman but me, Rhianna? Nnnnnnno. I figured it was because they assumed all pretty black girls should be compared to people like her because I used to go to school with guys that acted and looked just like them so it didn't surprise me but either way it was rude since Kevin heard them say that to me. Although, they probably only said it since we weren't at the time holding hands so they might have thought we were just friends but still oh my fuck. *sigh* I hate people sometimes.

Otherwise, that's it for part 1! Be sure to check out part 2 soon! I'm going to leave you all with my latest video!

  1. OMG, I wish I could of gone on a trip for my 2 year anniversary but my fiance is stationed too far away T^T Maybe we'll get to do something this year before he deploys though, fingers crossed LOL. Anyway you guys look like you had a great time besides the ignorant local poeple, WTF was their problems being so rude to ya'll and you were just trying to enjoy your visit?! -___-

It makes me mad thinking about it even though I don't know you because I get the interracial thing sometimes too since I'm in the South with rednecks. And I've gotten the Rhianna thing before when I used to have red hair and it was still relaxed, I don't find it a complement at all since I look nothing like her and don't really like her either. I'm more into Beyonce and Janelle Momae, LOL.

  2. Congrats on your 2nd year anniversary! You two make a beautiful couple. I'm so sorry that happened to you. My boyfriend/partner in crime is Thai and I'm Cuban, we live in a pretty populated town in Colorado, but it definitely lacks diversity. He and I are both from Chicago, Illinois, so we really miss being able to walk around the city without getting gawked at lol.

People can be so ignorant sometimes. I'm so happy that you did not allow their candid racist comments to ruin your anniversary. I'm actually shocked that people had the audacity to say that to you in person. Usually I receive such comments online, considering the fact that some people exploit the power of anonymity to be ignorant, racist a-holes (we're streamers on twitch.tv).

Anyway I'm rambling, just wanted to say congrats, I'm so happy for you, although we don't know each other haha, but I have a lot of respect for you guys, it makes me happy to see you guys together going strong :)

  4. Aww I hope that goes well for you two ^ ^ Road trips bring people closer I think (some people like to fuss though lol) so it'd be a nice idea! We did have a really memorable time there I just really hated those guys who thought it'd be funny to say what they said to both of us. So freaking shameful.

Yeah the Rhianna comment stroke a nerve because I look so far from her that it's not even funny. So they were definitely showing their racism with that one thinking all black people look the same. They're so blind. I'm not a fan of her's either lol but I do think she's attractive. I'll make sure to get that out asap for ya ^ ^

  5. Thank you! That's sweet of you to say :) aww I bet that's tough. I wish people would just mind their own business. You see something different, okay great but is it bothering you? I really should just go in on the next person that tries me like that again. But no, we forgot about it and reminisced over the joyful moments and luckily there were way more than bad ones so it all worked out in the end :D Thanks a lot for commenting!

Yeah, don't let them get to you. Some people have the damn nerve to talk crap this act innocent in your face. && Besides, Jackie Chan && Rhianna are major cuties in my book. <3 I do hope you enjoy your trip to Italy when you two get the chance ^_^

Congratulations on making it to two years. I love, love your blog and vids so I hope you continue to share your life with us for many more years to come. When faced with conflicts and irrelevant people remember that love is always stronger than any other force in the world and if you cared what other people thought it wouldn't be Those people! Lol!

  12. Congrats!~ I enjoyed looking at all the pics! and omg, we still have that in America? I thought that wasn't happening anymore. Like i know there's racism but saying it out loud is just plain rude and that should be common sense. A lot of people are super ignorant..but i'm glad you had a good time with your bf and that's the only thing that matters! ^_^

  15. Thank you! Haha gotta love him <3 Always a favorite in my book. I'll definitely have to tour Europe one day and land there when I get a chance. I'm sure it'll be loads of fun!

  16. Thank you sweetheart! Oh wow that quote was so beautiful and true thanks so much for sharing it with me. It's true, usually when people stare at us we ignore it but sometimes I hold him closer to me and they leave us alone realizing how our love is much stronger than their hatred. It makes me feel really good when I realize that happens actually :) It's like I never want to let go of his hand when we're out together because of that reason.

  19. Aww congratulations on 2 years!! ^^ It'll also be 2 years for me and my bf soon so I wonder what we'll do about it haha. Loved reading your post! It must have been really nice, and romantic, like a little getaway ^^ But I'm sorry to hear about those obnoxious idiots though :( It's quite rude to be commented based on race, and it's even worse that some people have the audacity or think it's okay to publicly say such things to a complete stranger. (I'm always referred to as the Asian girlfriend, like seriously, I have a name damnit). But I'm glad to read you had a great time despite that. Also, I just wanna say you're really pleasant to watch haha, keep it up with the youtube videos :)

  20. Congrats on 2 years! You guys are such a cute couple. I love that shirt you're wearing and you r hair looks soo pretty. Overall I'm uuber jealous of how pretty you look. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that shirt? Was it in one of your past hauls? I thought I might have seen it.

  21. Yeah I really wish they could all just go away forever but I know that won't happen. Oh well, there will always be people like you who are different from them and that's what keeps me moving :)

  22. I think the asshole was on drugs of some kind since he looked a bit dazed and half way there if you understand what I mean. I just don't get why you have to ruin someone's day like that or make an attempt to...such a dick. But we were still enjoying the rest of our day just fine despite that thankfully!

  23. lol thank you! So do I! I always make sure to smile at them when I see a pair of lovebirds together. They remind me so much of me and Kevin so it happens instantly lol

  24. Thank you! Yes it was...we've been working all summer so having a break was definitely nice!

    I can't believe people would refer you as that! How incredibly insensitive. I really think the guy who said it to him wasn't right upstairs anyway like most beggars on the street which makes me feel slightly better about the situation but even so, I sort of wish I socked him in the face with my purse. Oh well, we did still have a great time though! And thanks for watching my video! I gotta work on how many times I say "um" still haha ^ ^;

  25. Thank you sweetie!~ I got that shirt from LOVECULTURE (imo nicer selections than Forever XXI!)! You probably seen me wear it on one of the posts I made on here a while ago but other than that I'm not sure if I did wear it on a video of mine.

Thanks! I should have curled it but of course I didn't give myself enough time to so I left it plain. But don't be jelly! I'm really just dolled up when I take pictures usually haha I look awful most days .__.
